The beetles are over-running our cukes, squash and zuchinni! I have noticed that they are even in the fields surrounding our garden. The garden is much too large to net (as I have heard to do), and mulching between and under the plants would be pretty tough to occomplish, also. I was hoping to find an organic, home-remedy spray or something that would keep them away. Thanks for your time!
i used to have this garlic spray, put cloves of peeled garlic into a bottle of water and soak for a day or two then convert to spray bottle! it repellled everything on my veges except the rats

Dr. Greene’s Organic Rx Item #7 — Apples
Consistently named as one of the most pesticide-contaminated fruits and vegetables, apples make my list because they are more popular than the other fruits and vegetables on the list. Thus, choosing organic apples can make a big difference both in lowering your family’s pesticide exposure and in using our consumer power to change agriculture.
