How Do I Get Rid of Bugs Eating my Morning Glory?

by Tricia

I could see holes in the young leaves and mature too. Is there anything I can do ? I want to use only home made organic spray because of my young children like to play in the garden.

I use a spray bottle of three quarters water lots of garlic and dawn dish soap. make sure you spray after it rains. The leaves get washed off each time and you have to reaply. Spray as offen as necessary. Make sure you get all the leaves wet.

I would try purchasing lady bugs at the local hardware & garden stores, also diluted dish soap and water will keep many bugs from chewing. Put it in a squirt bottle mix well and spray plants, it won't hurt your kids or the plant.
soap about 1 to 6 parts water.
The only other sugestion I have is make sure, if you choose another bug spray; the bugs arn't caterpillars. They tend to eat flowers too.

Yeah Lady bugs are a great idea. Diluted dish soap never really worked for me, but diluted "flea killing" pet shampoo did -pet safe – kids safe. Good Luck!
